QUESTERS - You, me, us, and them. Those willing and brave enough to read the book and follow their pine cone in search of the SEJNES.
SEJNES – The Secrets of Eternal Joy and Never Ending Splendor. The Quest for SEJNES is the activity through which we accomplish our Ideal of Illuminating Curiosity for the Purpose of Forward Motion.
PINECONE - The symbolic meaning of the pinecone is to represent the Pineal gland which is shaped like a pinecone, hence the name.
The pineal gland is cone shaped and is located in the middle of the brain behind and just above the pituitary gland. The pineal gland contains pigment similar to that found in the eyes and is connected to the optic thalami, hence it controls the action of light upon our body. The pineal gland is located in the posterior end of the third ventricle of the brain and the pituitary gland is located in the roof of the third ventricle. It is said that the joining of the essences of these two glands in the third ventricle is what opens the Third Eye.
The Pineal gland through its regulation of melatonin in the body modulates our wake-sleep patterns and circadian rhythms and remains uniquely isolated from the blood-brain barrier system, receiving a higher percentage of blood flow than any other area of the body save the kidneys.
Human thought is regarded as a result of suspended action, and the pineal gland inhibits the immediate discharging of thoughts into action. This inhibition causes us to look inward and to deeply ponder our actions and reactions. This introversion is indispensable for self-realization as it displaces our attention from the outer world to the inner. When the external world disappears, our circle of consciousness contracts because our primary attention is focused upon our inner self. It is this inner attention that magnetizes “spiritual light” into the pineal gland.
Considered by many to be the “Seat of the Soul,” the “Epicenter of Enlightenment” — its sacred symbol throughout history, in cultures around the world, has been the pinecone. The clearest evidence of this fact is the giant bronze pinecone statue located to this day in the Court of the Pine in Vatican City. (Google it to turn believing into knowing.)

“FOLLOW YOUR PINECONE” - The pineal gland is a sensory organ of perception that is responsible for heightened levels of intuition. The phrase “follow your pinecone” means that you have to trust your intuition on your quest for SEJNES.
PHYLLOTAXIS - Phyllotaxis is a pattern of development over time that optimizes exposure to stimulus in order to maximize utility. Think of the way a plant’s growth pattern responds to the stimulus of light. This is also related to the transcendental number Phi, sacred geometry, the Fibonacci sequence, and the Golden Spiral. Pinecones, pineapples, cacti, acorns caps and sunflowers are just a few good examples of phyllotaxis, which is the natural pattern of growth found in nature.
SPIRITUAL PHYLLOTAXIS - The natural pattern of development of soul growth is response to stimulus, both physical and metaphysical. This relates to one’s Dharma and ideal path towards enlightenment.
PERSONAL LEGEND - “According to The Alchemist, Personal Legends serve as the only means by which an individual can live a satisfying life. In fact, the universe can only achieve perfection if all natural things continuously undergo a cycle of achieving their Personal Legend, evolving into a higher being with a new Personal Legend, and then pursuing that new goal. This concept, that the individualistic pursuit of a Personal Legend exists as life’s dominant—perhaps only—spiritual demand, lies at the center of the unique theology of The Alchemist. As we see when Santiago must give up his flock and leave Fatima, material success and even love pose obstacles to Santiago achieving his Personal Legend and must be delayed or ignored altogether. Those who put off their Personal Legends, such as the crystal merchant, suffer regret and fail to experience the wealth and other favors that the universe bestows upon those who follow their Personal Legends. In the novel, even alchemy, the central symbol of the book, entails coaxing metal to achieve its own Personal Legend to turn into gold. As a result, the idea that all individuals should live in the singular pursuit of their individual dreams emerges as the primary theme of The Alchemist.”
OMENS - These are the “nonrandom” synchronicities that occur in your life that allow you to pursue your Personal Legend. Learn to use your pinecone to see the omens, and then follow them.
FROTHY QUANTUM FOAM or “THE FROTH - Everything acts and lives within bubbles. Our personal bubbles, energies, and ideas are all bubbles. When these bubbles are stimulated, grow, collide, and interact, they create froth. Good discussions and sharing ideas makes things frothy. Froth is the meta-nectar that bubbles up to the surface of the conscious mind spontaneously during optimal states of ideal conditions. The froth is the precursor to a phorph.
TELEPATHIC STATIC ELECTRICITY - When conditions are of high quality, things get frothy. For example, during our Helping Friendly Book Club meetings, when the conversation gets really good and there are lots of intelligent and creative ideas bouncing around, conditions crystalize into a special type of energy field known as Telepathic Static Electricity. TSE is what allows for the froth to appear in the present. It is the pre-condition. When you are brainstorming with a few friends and then all of a sudden you all start to have great idea after great idea in rapid succession, that is the froth, made possible by the TSE. Generate Telepathic Static Electricity and appreciate the froth. Learn to cultivate it, pay attention to it, get in tune with it.
PHORPH - A phorph is the experience of an evolutionary leap into a highest good or greatest experience that is undefinable b/c you can’t know it until it happens. When things get frothy, phorphs tend to occur. A phorph is the subjective experience of a quantum leap in understanding that is possible within frothy conditions. The phorph cannot be predicted, it can only be anticipated. Plan to improvise.
PHORPHING - The metaphysical process of generating intense insight. The honeycomb web of vibrational Mu that creates the necessary space in the flow of consciousness for profound revelations to occur.
FLORAL STAGE OF CONSCIOUSNESS - “To put it simply, humankind is about to enter the floral stage of its evolutionary development. THE RANDOM CONSPIRACY - The invention of the word “random” is the lie they told the people to keep them from finding meaning in their lives. “Random” has no opposite, and therefore does not exist. If random did have an opposite, it would be “intentional” or “with purpose” or most clearly- not random. Of all the incalculable hypothetical potentialities in any one situation, of all the infinite mathematical probabilities for one thing to occur over another, the one thing that does happen, instead of being random, is actually the OPPOSITE of random, because it is the one thing out of all possible things that actually DID happen. Therefore, nothing is random, there is a reason for everything, even if it is not rational or known at the time, there is a larger pattern at work. By learning to read the omens and having faith in the process of spiritual phyllotaxis, one can seek their personal treasure and live a life of fulfillment and meaning.
